Two escalators, a new elevator, and a holiday deadline met
This project stripped the entire multi-level space and built out a new interior for Modell's Sporting Goods. It was completed in time for the holiday season using a dual-store scheduling approach.
The key challenge was the installation of two escalators and a new ADA elevator. DeMartino monitored the escalator fabrication in China, handled the structural engineering at the escalator opening, and fast-tracked the installation. The team also acted as liaison between the mall, the tenant and the municipality, coordinated the fire alarm design with the fire marshal, and installed complete new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler systems.
